Thank you so much to all the riders for coming out and joining us for the shoot. Your spirit, individuality and amazing community made this an unforgettable experience. The images we have seen so far are beyond amazing and that is all because of your participation.

We were blown away by the amount of people who showed up to join us. Positive attitudes, creative contributions, and good old fun prevailed.

From the very first ride over the bridge into downtown we knew we were in for an adventure. Taking over the streets, flying over the hill down into Santa Monica Pier, and owning Hollywood Blvd. were all incredible experiences. We were glad to have shared them with this wonderful group of people and their amazing bikes.

Can't wait to see you out there on the next ride.

A spokesperson for Jared Leto's band 30 Seconds To Mars has rejected rumours that the star has fired their management.

Reports yesterday suggested that Leto had axed the group's employers ahead of the release of their new album.

However, the band's representative has since branded the speculation "completely false".

They quoted Leto as saying: "As far as I'm concerned I have the best manager on the entire planet, the legendary Irving Azoff. We have been working together for three years and are having a blast. Together we have happily burned out many a blackberry keypad and even shut down a few servers. We [are] looking forward to celebrating the release of This Is War on December 8."

Azoff added: "We've only just begun to make 30 Seconds To Mars the icons they will inevitably become."

30 Seconds To Mars' third studio album This Is War is scheduled for release on December 7.

Celebrities Lend Signatures And More To Gay Marriage Posters

A variety of celebrities have put their names to a Shepard Fairey print in order to support gay marriage. More than 80 celebrities including Julia Roberts, Charlie Sheen, Natalie Portman and many others have signed "Defend Equality - Love Unites" original prints with a design by Shepard Fairey. Some celebrities took a unique approach to signing. Jared Leto wrote out the language of California's Proposition 8 ballot initiative (which stipulates that marriage is only between a man and a woman) on the back of his Fairey print, burned it and put the ashes in a clear glass urn with the inscription, "Here lies within, the remains of Proposition 8, may it rest in peace." Virginia Madsen added a collage to her poster. The pieces will be sold in online auctions next month. On November 12, Shepard Fairey will take part in the official launch event at the Andaz West Hollywood hotel. VIP tickets for the event are $100.

Tegan and Sara, 30 Seconds to Mars, Everclear shows announced

​Canadian twin sisters Tegan & Sara hit the road the last week in October in support of their sixth studio album, Sainthood, which drops on Tuesday, October 27. After European and Canadian dates, the sisters are slated to swing by the Ogden Theatre next year on Sunday, April 4. General admission tickets are $35.25. In the meantime, 30 Seconds to Mars, which features brothers Jared and Shannon Leto, hits the Odgen on Tuesday, December 1, a week before the act's forthcoming album, This is War, hits stores. General admission seats are $25. Finally, Everclear, who just released an album of newly recorded versions of it hits and two new songs, come to the Bluebird Theater on Monday, November 16. Tickets for that one are $23.25 in advance and $26 day of show. All three of these shows go on sale Friday, October 16 at 10 a.m. For a complete list of the most recent shows that have been announced, the ones that are about to go on sale or are already on sale, follow the jump.

30 Seconds to Mars Giving Away 30 Guitars + More

Jared Leto's Thirty Seconds to Mars has teamed up with Culture Jam Labs to sponsor a Twitter-powered giveaway of "30 Guitars in 30 Days."

'The Simpsons' creators will choose a fan-designed character to star in a Simpsons episode featuring Coldplay's Chris Martin. The contest is part of a 20th anniversary celebration for the iconic animated series.

Eels have released the cover art and tracklisting for the upcoming January full-length, 'End Times.'

Beach House have announced details for their third LP, 'Teen Dream.' The album is set for a Jan. 26 street date and will include a DVD containing videos for every song on the album.

The return of 30 Seconds to Mars

Jared Leto is an artist, plain and simple. The multitalented musician/actor and the rest of his entourage have finally settled their court disputes with recording juggernauts EMI, and that spells good news for fans.

30 Seconds to Mars has announced a final release date for its upcoming album, titled This Is War, to hit shelves Dec. 8. To promote the album, they have already released the first single, "Kings and Queens."

The track is upbeat and full of optimism, much in the fashion of the band's sophomore effort, the platinum-selling A Beautiful Lie. To elaborate, the self-titled debut album was full of human conflict lyrically and an atmospheric, synth-heavy mood. The second album was more alt rock, which helped songs like "The Kill" and "From Yesterday" garner so much airtime.

"Kings and Queens" is already getting a fair amount of radio play, particularly on alternative satellite radio stations. The song is a resounding, ethereal anthem that is a powerful reminder of Leto's vocal capabilities. He can pull long notes that meld with the beat, and his scream scrapes the ceiling of human possibility.

Another intriguing thing, albeit potentially gimmick-driven, is that one of the tracks on This Is War will include Kanye West. The song is called "Hurricane," and according to Leto, he had been thinking about getting West on board for some time. While I in no way enjoy Kanye's cliche musicality and attention-grabbing antics, I have that much faith in Leto's judgment that I will give it a listen upon release. There have also been rumors about a possible collaboration with The Killers' Brandon Flowers.

The album itself will use a very unique marketing scheme: there will be exactly 2,000 different album covers that will feature different photos of the band's fans the world over. They are calling it The Face of Mars campaign, and all applicants should send their photos to thefaceofmars@gmail.com According to their Web site, the first 2,000 photos sent to them that meet the requirements will be selected. Just imagine yourself on the cover of a rock album. Kinda' cool.

The band is certainly giving fans much to look forward to: a forthcoming new album seemingly epic in proportions, a campaign giving fans an opportunity to interact with the band in a way never before seen in the recording industry, and the promise of a world tour.

Jared Leto is indeed an artist, and he is constantly reinventing himself as an actor and a musician. He has played roles ranging all the way from a heroin addict to Mark David Chapman, and he has sang the depths of metal and the heights of emo-rock. 30 Seconds to Mars is also perpetually reinventing itself as a band; whatever that reborn identity is, This Is War shows infinite promise and the hopes that 30StM can continue doing what it does best for years to come.

Когда фотографируешь знаменитостей, большая часть работы состоит в том, чтобы им было комфортно. Мне нужно поддерживать весёлую атмосферу при съёмке, при этом подсознательно обнадёживая их, что я смогу завершить работу. В противном случае, они потеряют интерес и это проявится на снимках. Хуже того, они могут всё бросить до завершения работы.
Дело не начиналось слишком хорошо в моей последней фотосъёмке для обложки Kerrang Magazine.

30 Seconds to Mars preps for 'War'

Alt-rockers  30 Seconds to Mars have unveiled a slate of late-fall dates that coincide with the forthcoming release of their long-awaited new album, "This Is War."

The 10-date outing, which begins Nov. 30 in Salt Lake City, kicks off a week before the record's Dec. 8 release date. The Los Angeles-based band will celebrate the album's drop with a show in Baton Rouge, LA, followed by three stops throughout the Midwest. The full schedule is shown below.

"This Is War" marks the group's third studio set and first since 2005's "A Beautiful Lie." One of the new record's tracks, "Kings and Queens," is currently streaming at the band's website.

Led by actor/singer/guitarist Jared Leto, 30 Seconds to Mars worked with producers Flood (Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails) and Steve Lilywhite (The Rolling Stones, U2) on the new effort.

The band also mobilized their fan community, known as The Echelon, inviting them in April to Hollywood, CA's Avalon Club for an impromptu recording session dubbed "The Summit." Hundreds of fans enjoyed the opportunity to contribute vocals and percussion to the new record and, because the experience was so successful, the band decided to host, though not attend, eight more summits over the summer months in countries around the world, including Australia, Italy and Mexico, among others.

"There's something magical that happens when a group of people come together, a group of strangers, and they share a public experience," Leto said in an interview with Kerrang magazine. "We then harness that energy, that collective consciousness, and apply it in a musical way."
