1 What kind of instructions were you given?

Do not record anything or take pictures, or they will "cut off your feet". They were very strict on this. (This was also obvious from the release forms which people have already talked about in this thread.... No cameras allowed, etc.)

2What was the rest of the crowd like?

Loud, co-operative, respectable. As far as I know there were no fights, and it didnt SEEM people were getting "crushed" when trying to enter the Avalon and inside the Avalon. There was a fairly healthy respect between each other to allow a LITTLE breathing room.

3Were you advised against providing information about the Summit publicly (as previously mentioned)?

They said to tell you all things like what a great time we had, how much fun we had, how we enjoyed meeting other fans, and that it was a great night that we wish could have been shared with everyone. Etc. All of those things are true, and saying anything "in-detail" about it would be a huge disrespect to the band.

4What type of information were you given in regards to where your image and/or voice would end up?

They told us where it will be used, but we aren't allowed to say what we did aside from "we had a great time". As Jared also said on this topic, "Why can't we just keep it a secret?... Unity divides, division will unite".

- Did you get to meet Jared?
Personally, I did not.

- Was Jared awesome?
Fuck yes. He has an amazing voice, and experiencing it live, I'm sure many people will say it gave them the chills more than a few times.

- How hot was Jared looking?
I'm a guy... BUT, I will say he was looking FRESH with his newly trimmed beard and 'stasche.

- Was it all about Jared?
No, it required everyone's co-operation.

- Did Tomo shave?
NO!!!!!!!! And apparently his hair (on his head) was almost more of a secret than anything else within the Avalon walls.

- Did Shannon do stuff?
Everyone in the Avalon was active.

30 Seconds To Mars Talk MySpace Fan Summit
Frontman Jared Leto says 'The Summit' allowed 30STM fans to participate in new material.

LOS ANGELES — It seems like every day is a particularly great one for Jared Leto, but the last two have been pretty ridiculously amazing even by his standards.

On Sunday, he and his 30 Seconds to Mars bandmates hosted "The Summit," an impromptu gathering of fans at Hollywood's Avalon club ... that just so happened to draw roughly 1,000 supporters from all over the U.S. and Europe (a number that's even more impressive considering the band announced details of the meet-up last week).
Then, on Monday, he took to 30STM's MySpace Celebrity page to field questions from nearly 700,000 friends (presumably those who couldn't make it to "The Summit") in a live video chat. And he invited MTV News to his L.A. home to watch it all happen.

While we'll have more on 30STM in the coming days, we figured we'd get to the past 48 hours first.

"[The] MySpace live chat was something of a beautiful disaster," Leto chuckled. "It was, at moments, really fun and incredibly, uh, awkward, but that always makes for something entertaining. There were some facial-hair questions. ... I think it was [gesturing to ultra-hirsute bandmates Shannon Leto and Tomo Miličević] Che Guevara and Elvis Costello sitting to my right."

"I get the hint, alright," Miličević laughed, tugging at his beard. "I get it."

As for "The Summit," well, the band couldn't have been happier. Originally dreamed up by Leto as a way to include the band's (exceedingly, insanely) loyal fans in the making of their new album, it turned into something more: a legitimate experiment in recording and crowd-control, with 30STM using the audience as a musical instrument. Leto swore all participants to secrecy, but he decided to spill some of the details to us.

" 'The Summit' ... was an experiment in our recording process, and we were just trying to think of ways that we could deepen the connection between ourselves and our family of fans around the world," Leto explained. "We do that often, and think of ways to break the boundary. And we thought, 'How great would it be to invite the world to come and be a part of the next 30 Seconds to Mars album?'

"There were some things [we tried] that were left-field sound experiments — using the group, the collective, as a musical instrument," he continued. "We did everything from percussive expression to whispering to things that were a little bit more familiar, like inviting the 1,000 people that were there to sing the chorus of a song. And those people who were a part of it all will be a part of the next 30 Seconds to Mars album. ... It was quite simply one of the best things we've done as a band."

And just when will fans be able to hear their handiwork? Well, Leto wouldn't divulge that information, but he did say that there's going to be plenty of room for those percussive expressions on the new record ... because, in a move befitting an album they've been laboring on for a year now, it's a long player.

"The longest song on there is, like, eight minutes. The shortest, probably five. ... I don't think we have one under five, that's for sure," he said. "I think we do a really good job at just chasing the feeling, the core of the song, and allowing the song the ability or right to go where it leads us, where it wants to go. The song dictates that, and we've been working on this collection of songs for 12 months, so we know them pretty well."

Почти после года войны, пришло время. Время заключить мир, чтобы двигаться вперед и начать сначала. К счастью, теперь мы можем оставить позади одно из самых испытывающих сражений за всю нашу карьеру.

Почти в течение года мы были в Лос-Анджелесе, вкладывая наши сердца, надежды и мечты в создание альбома, который значит для нас абсолютно все. В дополнение к этому невероятному и творческому приключению, мы справлялись с довольно тяжелым бременем, судебным иском, поданным против нас EMI. Не самые идеальные условия для создания альбома, но, тем не менее, это неотъемлемая часть нашей истории.

Сейчас мы почти закончили наш новый альбом и готовы положить конец конфликту с нашим старым лейблом. Есть много причин, которые повлияли на это решение, готовность и энтузиазм EMI решить наши главные проблемы, чтобы в итоге была возможность вернуться, работать с командой, снастолько преданной и влюбленной в 30 Seconds to Mars.

Все время мы искали возможность заключить мир и пойти на компромис. Но не любой ценой. Мы были говтовы продолжить наш путь до дех пор, пока мы в этом нуждаемся. Это была борьба, в которую мы искренне верили. Борьба за искусство. Борьба за правду. Борьба за справедливость. Борьба за свободу.

Иск в 30 млн. долларов - серьезное дело и мы всегда с волнением восхищались дорогой, которым мы идем. Но мы знали, что это было важной и достойной битвой, и, к сожалению, неизбежной.

На всякий случай, если вам интересно, судебный процесс это не шутка. Совсем. Мой совет: избегайте этого любой ценой. Мы патались. И пытаемся, и пытаемся еще раз. К сожалению, в конеце концов, мы пришли к тому, что было невозможно продолжать работать с EMI и было необходимо разорвать наш контракт. Мы предупредили EMI о наших намерениях цитируя Калифорнийский трудовой кодекс, который защищает человека против несправедливых договорных соглашений.

Немного истории..

Это началось, как только мы наконец достигли некоторого успеха во всем мире. Не смотря на то, что мы продали миллионы пластинок, мы не увидим ни пенни. За последние восемь месяцев было много дебатов о нашем будущем, о том, как далеко зайдет эта  борьба, о том, что является для нас важным как для артистов, как людей, как группы. О том, выпускать ли наш новый альбом традиционно с помощью звукозаписывающих компаний или эксперементировать и искать новые способы. Чувствуется, что сейчас система устарела и с помощью новых технологий обычный метод быстро изживает себя. С другой стороны, никто не сделает это лучше, чем опытные компании, которые обеспечили большинство из нас большинством музыки, которую мы любим. Это долгие и бесконечные дебаты. Мы колеблемся между одной системой и рождением другой, которая временами настолько захватывающая и настолько болезненная.

После тщательного рассмотрения всех вариантов того, что мы могли бы получить и что могли бы потенциально потерять, мы в итоге решили, что воссоединение с EMI/Virgin будет самым лучшим возможным вариантом ради музыки и не смотря ни на что поделиться этим последним творческим приключеним со всеми вами самым уместным способом.

В будущем, если есть записывающая компания или ее нет, выкладываете ли вы свою музыку только через интернет или продаете её из фургона с мороженным, вы все еще нуждаетесь в помощи людей. И для нас самая большая причина воссоедининения с EMI заключается именно в этом. В людях. Это не ради бизнеса или денег или заключения контракта или конца судебного прцесса. Это ради шанса вновь воссоединиться с людьми, которые остались, которые были частью нашего путешествия и безграничных возможностей тех новых замечательных людей, которые будут помогать нам на этом новом пути.

Мы больше, чем счастливы, что наконец все закончилось и мы можем оставить это позади. Это не только хорошо, а даже замечательно.

Мы всегда держали дверь открытой для мира и решения проблем в течение этого процесса, и мы благодарны, что это не прошло мимо ушей. Мы с нетерпением ждем нового начала с EMI и хотим скорее поделиться с вами нашей новой музыкой в самом ближайшем будущем.

Мы никогда не забудм неослабевающую поддержку от всех наших друзей, семьи и поклонников во всем мире.

Первый удачный день за всю неделю!!!! я в чате попала на Томо!!!   :shine:  сегодня утром на КYTE был дурдом!!! все задавали Томо кучу вопросов, вот что он писал:
