New 30 Seconds To Mars' new video banned
The 20-minute short film that accompanies 30 Seconds To Mars' new single Hurricane has been banned after censors deemed it too explicit for UK TV.
For an example letter from the censors, and to find out what's been deemed too offensive for telly, see Jared Leto's blog.
Don't worry though, the uncut version of the video is expected to make it online later this week.
Hurricane will be released on January 10, in the UK.

I just think it’s interesting that when you turn on the news or whatever else catches your interest, how much violence and negativity is available out there. As soon as it comes time for sexuality, it’s a big shock that people are sexual beings. It’s an interesting double standard to me.

The latest video from Jared Leto and his popular alt-rock group is a 13-minute "short film" that features, among other things, a fairly explicit bondage scene, a menacing dude in a leather mask, some "Matrix"-style fight scenes, topless dancers, book burnings, and many, many shots of the buff Leto running shirtless through the empty streets of an unnamed city. Even after the band submitted a "not so explicit" version to MTV, the network refused to broadcast it, forcing Leto to go back in and cover up the offending images (most of which flash by almost subliminally) with big "CENSORED" title cards. We're guessing even if you could see the censored images, the whole thing still wouldn't make any sense—but those 30STM boys sure are sexy.
